Programme overview

Sesame is one of our fastest-moving programmes. We source whitish and mixed grades from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, and Sudan, with pre-export cleaning and grading done by qualified processors at origin.

Buyers include edible-oil crushers, tahini and halva producers, bakery ingredient distributors, and confectionery manufacturers across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Same rhythm as every other crop — only the calendar and the grading language change.

Operating notes

  • Cleaning and grading is done at qualified origin processors before export, not at destination.
  • Purity standards are agreed with the buyer on every contract and verified independently.
  • Programme supports both bag and FIBC loads depending on end-use.
