Programme overview

Our ginger programme focuses on dried split ginger and whole rhizomes. Nigeria is the dominant volume origin; Uganda and Ethiopia provide complementary supply with distinct oleoresin profiles for extract buyers.

Buyers include essential-oil and oleoresin extractors, spice blenders, beverage formulators, and ingredient distributors. Lots are tested for oleoresin content, moisture, and microbial compliance before export.

Same rhythm as every other crop — only the calendar and the grading language change.

Operating notes

  • Contracts specify oleoresin content bands for extractor buyers.
  • Drying and grading done at supervised origin facilities before export.
  • Programme supports both dried split and whole rhizome forms.
